The Role:

Are you a numbers enthusiast with a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? They are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join their bustling office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from ambitious startups to established multi million-pound enterprises.



– Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

– Managing client bookkeeping, payroll and VAT

– Reconciling accounts and bank statements

– Supporting the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation

– Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide exceptional service

– Contributing to month-end and year-end closing processes

– Participating in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes



– AAT part-qualified or working towards ACA qualification

– Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)

– A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
