🤔 Job seekers are being more choosy and particular about the roles they apply for and rightly so, the last couple of years has made many people reassess what they want from life and that includes their work-life. 🙌
Despite the news of having a record number of job opportunities available, employers are struggling to find qualified candidates. If you are one of those employers struggling to hire, there are candidates out there but you may have to change the way you do things to attract the best people. 🧐
A few points to consider to ensure you are standing out from your competitors:
✅ Now is a good time to review your recruitment strategy; what is your advertising campaign like? What works and what doesn’t? What other talent sourcing methods are you using? Do you outsource? If so, is that provider providing what you expect?
✅ Are you covering all bases when it comes to getting details of your vacancies in front of the people who you want to see it?
✅Do your adverts pop? Or are they generic snapshots of a formal job description? Spice things up. 💥
✅Are you offering a competitive salary and benefits package (and is it REALLY competitive)? 💷💷
✅ Do you stand out from similar roles that your industry competitors are advertising? 💥
✅ Do you have a solid on-boarding and induction process?
✅What does your training and development program look like and are you ensuring their are clear paths for progression? 🚀
✅Are you following an organised and efficient recruitment process and correctly managing expectations of candidates? 🏃♂️
Employers really need to stand out from their competitors and work proactively to ensure they are attracting the best talent. If you are putting out a generic advert on a generalist job board and expecting a wave of great candidates you are probably going to be disappointed. 😓
